Special thanks to Town Pump and State Farm
for making our new (used) engine a great success

Engine 5 Town Pump gave us a donation of $5000 towards the purchase of a front monitor.

State Farm gave us a $5000 donation towards an auxillary diesel pump that gave our 'new' engine "pump and roll" capabilities.

Engine 5 was put into service in June of 2007, just in time for the 2007 wildland fire season. It spent over 100 hours working wildland fires in Flathead and neighboring counties. Most of the time the activites were protecting structures. The pump and roll capabilities provided by the auxillary pump and front monitor were used to put out large spot fires created one windy evening on the Brush Creek fire.

Our department, is very grateful for the ability to be able to provide these services to our residents, as well as other residents of the county.
